During the ‘January Freeze of 2010 ’ Mary Brunel, better known as the ‘Cross Harbour Ferry’ continued to operate.
With the majority of the Harbour frozen over (see photos), we cleared the snow, broke the ice and continued to run our daily 7.30am service for commuters.
For two or three mornings, we were the only mode of public transport available in Bristol.
Some of our regular commuters were slightly disappointed to find us running normally however, as they were hoping to use us as an excuse to go back to bed! We kept on running to provide a reliable service to our customers and will continue to do so. |
